Fillmore Historical Museum

As you stroll about the Fillmore Historical Museum you will find four historical buildings with treasures from the early days in the Santa Clara valley. The Hinckley House, a 1905 Craftsman-style home was designed and built for Fillmore’s first dentist, Ira Hinckley and his family. Our 1887 Southern Pacific area. People brought freight and produce to be shipped, and passengers boarded the train to Los Angeles or other destinations. The 1919 Rancho Sespe Bunkhouse was originally used as a dormitory by farm laborers on the Rancho Sespe Mexican land grant rancho. You will also be delighted with the original Bardsdale post office, a small building used to collect, sort and dispense mail in the late 1800’s. Our display rooms depict how life was in the early years in the Fillmore, Bardsdale and Piru area. Pictorial displays depict earthquakes.

El Pescador Restaurant

Savor the tastes of Old Mexico. El Pescador Fillmore is committed to providing only the freshest and highest quality Mexican Food. With distinctive flavorful dishes, we created a unique restaurant concept around original recipes that demand only the freshest local ingredients tailored after the traditional mexican cuisine. Our specialties are marinated in fine sauces with distinct seasonings and spices. In 1982 the Ortiz family decided to host a family event, instead of hiring someone to do the catering they decided to cater the event themselves feeling confident that they knew what their friends and family would enjoy eating. The 200+ family and friends who attended the event were very happy with the catering. This success gave them the idea to start a catering business using the same family recipes and concepts of serving large portions to satisfy the biggest of appetites.
