Fillmore
Fillmore Historical MuseumAs you stroll about the Fillmore Historical Museum you will find four historical buildings with treasures from the early days in the Santa Clara valley. The Hinckley House, a 1905 Craftsman-style home was designed and built for Fillmore’s first dentist, Ira Hinckley and his family. Our 1887 Southern Pacific area. People brought freight and produce to be shipped, and passengers boarded the train to Los Angeles or other destinations. The 1919 Rancho Sespe Bunkhouse was originally used as a dormitory by farm laborers on the Rancho Sespe Mexican land grant rancho. You will also be delighted with the original Bardsdale post office, a small building used to collect, sort and dispense mail in the late 1800’s. Our display rooms depict how life was in the early years in the Fillmore, Bardsdale and Piru area. Pictorial displays depict earthquakes.
